Additionally, sufficient time must be allocated for reviewing opinions, and monetary planning, laws, and ongoing work plans should be developed. Security—including social, job, and professional security—must exist, along with work support and investment. These elements are indicators that determine the value of economic planning.”
Agriculture and Industry: Keys to Afghanistan’s Economic Prosperity
Mr. Sadat added: “In key sectors such as industry, agriculture, road construction, and exports, overall economic policies must be implemented. Fundamental issues include financial support, which collectively serve as indicators for creating economic improvement. If insecurity exists or government support—such as providing land, energy, and raw materials—is not provided, the job creation process will be disrupted. Job creation is a fundamental component of programs that must be focused on.”
Support for Elites and the Private Sector: The Driving Engine of the Economy
He further noted: “Implementing regular and precise plans, valuing those who seek business and investment, and the role of the central bank in lending are of special importance. Additionally, there must be specific management in the areas of land, water, and elites—those who can produce and create work processes.”

This university professor also said: “Moreover, what is produced must be exported to foreign markets. We work on theoretical production measurement, but in practice, we see that in summer, food items are produced quickly and supplied to domestic and foreign markets, but a large number spoil. Therefore, standard cold storages must be established to preserve the value of our assets for a period of time.”

According to Mr. Sadat, “In the mining sector, extraction must be carried out based on specialized principles, and tasks should be divided. For example, we should proceed based on scientific standards to assess the needs for problems with various mineral items and sell them in appropriate markets. The collection of these actions is essential for improving the economic situation and must be coordinated with high-quality and market-appealing packaging. These issues demonstrate the mission of planning in the path to improvement.”
