The Afghanistan U17 futsal team has departed for Bahrain to participate in the 2025 Asian Youth Games. Led by coach Behrooz Jafari, the team is prepared to face strong Asian opponents.
According to Zharfa News Agency, the Asian Youth Futsal Championship will commence on October 23, 2025, in Bahrain. Afghanistan is placed in Group A alongside Bahrain, Uzbekistan, and China.
The Afghanistan Football Federation announced that the players have traveled to Bahrain. The team aims to bring pride to the nation in this multi-sport event.
The Asian Youth Games (AYG), held every four years, features young athletes from across Asia competing in 24 sports disciplines.
