Trump: I Will Soon End Afghanistan-Pakistan Tensions

Donald Trump, President of the United States, pledged to resolve the conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan soon, describing Pakistani leaders as “great people” during a sideline event at the ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur.
According to Zharfa News Agency, Trump made these remarks on Sunday, October 26, during the signing ceremony of a peace agreement between Thailand and Cambodia, stating: “In the past eight months, we have ended eight wars, and now only one remains.”
He added: “I’ve heard that tensions have resurfaced between Pakistan and Afghanistan, but I will resolve it very soon. I know the Marshal and the Prime Minister of Pakistan; both are great people.”
The U.S. President emphasized that no previous president has been as successful as he has in ending wars, saying: “They start wars but don’t resolve them.”
Trump described resolving global conflicts as one of his personal goals, adding: “If I can save millions of lives, that’s the best thing that can be done.”
These statements come as Trump’s relations with Pakistani leaders have improved in recent weeks, with Shahbaz Sharif praising his role in reducing India-Pakistan tensions.
